Joy I. Scifres Brumett Obituary

Joy I. Brumett, 79, Uniontown, passed away at 1 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2010, at her son and daughter-in-law's residence.
Mrs. Brumett owned and operated the former Brumett's Grocery Store. She also worked at Hoosier National Forest and Wal-Mart in Seymour.
Born September 17, 1930, she was the daughter of James Edward and Eunice Mosley Scifres, both of whom preceded her in death. On
May 15, 1946, she married Hubert Brumett in Uniontown at the home of Walter Mosley.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Brenda Brumett, Uniontown; daughter-in- law, Marion Brumett, Uniontown;
two sisters, Frances Colwell, Dayton, Ohio, and Rita Jean (Barton) Riley, Uniontown; 11 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dale Brumett, and a brother, Harold Scifres.
Adams Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for cremation.
