Warner L. Burnside Obituary
Tribune - March 22, 2010Warner L. Burnside, 58, of Freetown passed away at 4:45 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010, at his residence.
He was born in Seymour on June 17, 1951, to Bernard and Betty Persinger Burnside. His mother preceded him in death and his father survives in Freetown.
He was the owner of Burnside Garage in Freetown and was a member of Freetown Church of Christ. Warner was a board member of Jackson County Water Utility and a member of Hickory Hills Golf Club in Brownstown.
On June 29, 1985, in Brownstown, he married Margo Thomas Burnside, who survives in Freetown.
He is also survived by two sons, Jason Burnside of Freetown and Ryan (April) Burnside of Seymour; two daughters, Kara (Matt) Thompson of Seymour and Courtney Burnside of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Drew, Carson, Aden and Gavin Burnside, and Parker and Dane Thompson; one brother, Bill (Katherine) Burnside of Freetown; and one sister, Marijane (Jeff) Smallwood of Avon.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Brownstown Christian Church with Brother Bill Teegarden officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jack Terrell, Kent Hofacker, Jerry Smith, Jim Forgey, Mike Rudolph and Weldon Carlin.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Zabel Funeral Home in Brownstown and from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.
