William Bush, Seymour R1, Dies At Hospital
William A. Bush 72, Seymour, died at 9:55 p.m. Monday at Schneck Memorial Hospital afte an illness of several months.
A retired cabinetmaker, he had spent most of his life in this county. He was a member of Medora Christian Church and an honorary member of the Knights of Pythias lodge.
Born January 31, 1895, in Washington County, he was the son of the late David and Sarah Barrett Bush. On July 6, 1917, in Brownstown, he married the former Nellie P. Booker, who survives.
In addition to the widow, other surviving are nine children, Gerald N. and Russell L. Bush both of St. Joseph, Missouri; Harold E. Bush, Seymour R1, Mrs. Jean McAuliffe, Westport, Mrs. Ruth J. Fox, Bernard J. Bush, and Mrs. Jo Carpenter, all of Seymour, Mrs. Norma Short, Bakersfield, Calif.; and Donald L Bush of Columbus; two sisters, Mrs. Allie Childers, of Medora, and Mrs. Bluford Phillips of Fresno, California; 20 greandchildren and on great-grandchild.
Five brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday from the Voss Chapel with the Rev. Harold Barnett, pastor of the Austin Christian Church, in charge. Burial in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Voss Mortuary after noon Wednesday.
