James Douglas Cameron Sr. Obituary

James Douglas Cameron Sr., 93, of Columbus, formerly of Seymour, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Four Seasons Health Care Center, Columbus.

Mr. Cameron was born in Chicago on March 3, 1916, the son of J. William and Mary Steven (Wetz) Cameron. On April 27, 1946, in Chicago, he married Mary Lee Smith Cameron, who preceded him in death on Oct. 1, 2002.

James was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Seymour. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was retired from the Federal Aviation Administration.

James is survived by his son, James Douglas Cameron Jr.; grandchildren, James Douglas Cameron III and Kaitlin Lee Cameron; and sister, Bette Weber.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral services are private and all arrangements are being handled by Voss Funeral Service, Seymour.
