Larry W. Carroll, 53, Brownstown, passed away at 6:43 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Carroll retired in 2001 after 24 years in the Army National Guard. He was a member of Brownstown First Baptist Church, Jackson Lodge 146 of Seymour, Seymour Eagles, American Legion Post 89 and Knights of Pythias, Brownstown.
Born January 2, 1957, in Seymour, he was the son of Chester Carroll and Joyce Seals Carroll, Medora. On February 25, 1994, in Seymour, he married Lisa Lentz Carroll, who survives.
Other survivors include children, Wendy (Anthony) Stancombe, Bedford, Tammy (Chad) Hughes, Columbus, Melissa England, North Vernon, and Jeremy (Jana) Wheeler, Seymour; brothers, Chester Carroll Jr., Medora, and Tim Carroll, Brownstown; sister, Norma Lawyer, Brownstown; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Phyllis Moore, Bloomington; grandchildren, Wesley Stancombe, Kobe Stancombe, Gaven Hughes, Mackenzie England, Daulton England, Peyton England and Brady Wheeler.
Scott Erwin will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia. A Masonic Service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday by Jackson Lodge 146 of Seymour and military graveside rites will be conducted at the cemetery. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
