Betty L. Cook Obituary
Seymour Daily TribuneBetty L. Cook, 69, Charlestown, died Friday, August 11, 2006, at Clark County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Cook was a homemaker and was a medical assistant for several years in the office of Dr. David Jones and Dr. William Voskuhl. She was a member of the New Chapel Methodist Church in Underwood and was an avid bingo player and a collector of antiques, primarily dishes.
Born August 14, 1936, in Scottsburg, she was the daughter of William and Jessie Coates Dean, both of whom preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Donald L. Cook Sr.; one daughter, Marcia Hampton, Jeffersonville; two sons, Gerald Sutton and Donald L. Cook Jr., both of Charlestown; three grandchildren, Amy Sad, Jill Ogden, Lauren Hampton; four great-grandchildren, Kendall and Tori Ogden, Isabella and Connor Sad; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown. Burial will take place at Scottsburg Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service today at the funeral home.
