James Donald Cox, 72, Medora, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.
Mr. Cox worked several years at Burnside Concrete. He was a security guard for Securitas at Lowe's in North Vernon for several years. He worked at Hickory Hills Golf Club in Brownstown. He was a member of Medora Christian Church.
Born March 19, 1938 in Plainfield, he was the son of Ralph Cox and Flossie Mae Hilderbrand Cox, both of whom preceded him in death. On December 15, 1972, in North Vernon, he married Rose Mary Cockerham Cox, who survives.
His other survivors include three sons, J.D. Cox, Jackson, Mich., Raymond Daniel (Judy) Cox, Maple Grove, Kentucky, and Mike Cox, Medora; two daughters, Joyce Cox McQueen, Mooresville, and Cherie Mae Cox, Freetown; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four brothers, William (Jean) Cox, Franklin, Ralph (Dee) Cox, Fairborn, Ohio, Marlin Cox, Columbus, and Clarence (Sheila) Cox, Columbus.
The Rev. Joshua Deering will conduct a memorial service at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Medora Christian Church.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until time of service at Medora Christian Church.
