James Logan Creech, 73, Seymour, passed away at 3:27 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2010, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.
James was born in Stanton, Kentucky, on May 5, 1937, the son of Liberty Carl and Pearl Miller Creech. In March of 1955, he married Imogene Anderson, who survives.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Seymour. He was a retired carpenter, having worked for Bob Toppe Construction and Barney Carr Construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing his guitar and singing.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Bev Douglas, Anita Barker, James (June) Creech, Carl (Denise) Creech and Terry Alderman; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Leona; and brothers, Omer, Forrest, Estill, Ernest and Charlie Creech.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at Calvary Baptist Church, Seymour, with the Rev. Jim Downey officiating.
Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour, with a Voss dove release.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church.
