Steven Michael Dixon, 23, Seymour, passed away at 11:30 a.m., Monday, January 3, 2011, in Seymour.
Mr. Dixon was a member of the Seymour High School Class of 2005. He had a special love of cars and was an excellent mechanic and car enthusiast. He enjoyed all types of music also. He was employed since 2005 at Cummins Inc. in Walesboro.
Born March 14, 1987, in Seymour, he was the son of Michael Lee Dixon and Joyce Lucille (Hanlon) Dixon, both of whom survive.
Other survivors include two sisters, Jennifer Ann (John) Thornton and Sarah Michelle Dixon; fiancé, Allan Hendley; his maternal grandmother, Wilma Hanlon; paternal grandmother Frances Dixon; two nieces, Kaylee Grace and Lindsee JoAnn Thornton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James E. Hanlon; paternal grandfather, Clyde Dixon; aunts, Diana Hanlon, Diane Fish; and uncles, Edward Dixon, and Steven Dixon.
The Rev. Rick Wilson will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Interment will follow at Molott Cemetery in Brown County, with a Voss dove release.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from noon until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
