GOOD GAS WELL AT BRYANT

Portland, Ind., Dec. 14.-  A franchise for a natural gas system has been granted by the town council of Bryant, and a big gas well, drilled in recently on the Flora Evans farm by John R. Pearson, of Indianapolis, will be turned into the lines to supply the town.  The Evans well is one of the most remarkable gas wells drilled in this part of the state in recent years, showing a rock pressure of 350 pounds.
