teacher of No. 5, visited the schools at this place Friday. Amos Houser made a business trip to Ft. Recovery. Dr. Ralston and wife and son Vernon spent Sunday with Portland Friends. Clyde Martin is visiting with relatives and friends at Piqua. Christmas entertainments will be given by the M. P.
church, west of town, and the Lutheran church in town. Rev. Bundy,
of the Miami tribe of Indians, also pastor of Pleasant Grove M. P. church,
delivered a lecture on the American Indians, which was highly appreciated. John P. Sonday, who spent the summer at this place, will be found at Portland, Ind. Henry Martin and Adam Miller visited at the county capital Thursday. Mrs. Shanefeldt, superintendent of the South Bend Oil company, left Friday for his
home at South Bend. |
