OIL NEWS FROM JAY COUNTY (by Star Special Service)

Wizard Has Made Another Location- Deep Well Drilled.

Portland, Ind., Dec. 24.-  J. H. Connover, the famous oil wizard, who made a reputation in the location of a wildcat well on the Frank Antles farm in entirely new territory, has made another location on the Peter Bishop, Sr., lease, adjacent to the Antles.

Should there be any advance in the price of oil a half dozen wells will be drilled at once in the vicinity of Antiville.

One of the deepest wells ever drilled in Indiana is one abandoned today on the Kidder farm in Pike township.  It was drilled 1,640 or nearly 600 feet in the Trenton rock.
