Armenia, wife of John S. Long of near Salamonia, and a highly
respected and well-known resident of the county, passed away at about two
o'clock Monday afternoon after a lingering illness of dropsy. She was
born in Marion Co., Ohio, July 4, 1839, and at death was aged sixty-eight years
and twenty-two days.
Besides her husband the following children survives. Laura A.
Long, Mary F. Strauss, William Long of Ft. Recovery, Dr. T. C. Long of Mundon,
Kansas, J.G. Long of Salamonia and Noah W. Long of Peru.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30
o'clock from the Methodist Reformed Church at Salamonia conducted by Rev. L.A.
Sigrest. Interment will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery.
