.DEATH CLAIMS CHAS. WILLSON
Former Jackson
Township Resident Dies at Home of
Daughter
Charles Corwin Willson, 85, died Saturday evening
at 4:15 o'clock at the home of a daughter, 225 East 6th Street, following a serious
illness since Wednesday of influenza.
The deceased was born October
30, 1854 near Columbus, Ohio,
the son of George and Mary (Ward) Willson and was married 58 years agao to
Sarah E. Hughes, who died January
13, 1922. He had lived three years with his daughter,
formerly residing in Jackson
township.
Surviving are three children. James O. Willson of
Strawn, Texas, Alta b. Willson at whose home he died and Mrs. Frank [Goldia]
Spade of Oblong, Ill.; seven grandchildren; seven great-granchildren
and two nephews. A grandchild, John Truax, of Muncie,
was reared by the Willson's, being taken into the home at the age of 2.
Three children, two sisters and a brother preceded him in death. The
body will remain at the Metazner funeral home at Bryant where friends are
invited to call.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning
at 10 o'clock at the Sardenia
Christian church in charge of Rev. Lee Tyndall of Pennville. Interment
in Gravel Hill cemetery west of Bryant.
