Redkey Resident has Fatal Stroke on Way to Morgue 

Redkey, Ind., Nov. 18 - Earl Ville Hobbs, 68, died last midnight at Jay County Hospital, in Portland.  He suffered a heart attack earlier in the evening while en route with relatives from Redkey to Portland, where the body of a half-brother, Russell White, lay in state at a funeral home. 

Surviving are the widow, Jessie; five daughters, Mrs. Frances Conger of Traverse City, Mich., Mrs. Greta Hart of near Winchester, Mrs. May Hildreth of near Parker, and Mrs. Betty Harrell and Mrs. Ruth Ginter, both of whom reside in Redkey; three sons, Roy, of Woodland, Cal., Gerald of Madison, and Don of Kansas City, and nineteen grandchildren. 

Mr. Hobbs was employed for a number of years at the Caar Canning Company in Redkey.  Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the E.U.B. Church in Redkey, the Rev. Lawrence West in charge.  Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Jones mortuary.
