  Funeral services for ED F. BELL, who died at South Bend, Tuesday, will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Portland U.B. church. The pastor, Rev. J.H. Nall, will officiate.  Interment will be made in Green Park cemetery.

The deceased was a former resident of this county, leaving last spring for South Bend, where he had made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Dora Upp.   Death was caused from flue and complications.
  He was a son of Lewis M. and Polly (Jones) Bell, and was born in Jay county, January 4, 1873, being aged at the time of his death, 56 years, 8 months and 13 days.  He was preceded in death by his wife, formerly Cora Fetters, April 19, 1927.

  He is survived by the following children: John Bell, whose whereabouts is unknown; Mrs. Dora Upp, at whose home he died; Blanche and Margaret Bell, of Redkey and Mabel, Charles and Kenneth Bell, of South Bend.   Five grandchildren also survive. 

The body was brought to Williamson's Shadow Lawn funeral home Tuesday night and prepared for interment, and removed to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Reynard of West Walnut street, this morning, where it will lie in state until the hour of the service
