Services to be Monday for Emile Thornberg


Redkey, Ind. - Emile Thornberg, 78, died Friday at Jay County Hospital in Portland after he head been rushed there upon suffering a heart attack at his home near Redkey.


Mr. Thornberg was a life resident of Jay County and was a retired farmer.


Surviving are the wife, Minnie; three daughters, Mrs. Virgie Baker of Dunkirk, Mrs. Margaret Manning of Redkey, and Mrs. Eileen Stoner of Portland; two sons, Everett Thornberg of Madesto, Calif, and Adolphus Thornberg of West Alexandria, O.; two brothers, Frank Thornberg of Montpelier and the Rev. Mont Thornberg of Milbury, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Lilly Dixson of Redkey and Mrs. Bitha Wise of Albany; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Jones Mortuary in Redkey by the Rev. Lester Sommers.  Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery near Redkey.  Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Sunday
