Funeral services for Jay
County native Forrest Phillips, 58, White House, Ohio, will be conducted
at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Parsons Mortuary in Muncie.
Phillips died Saturday at
Reid Memorial Hospital, Richmond, after suffering a heart attack on the way home
from a Florida vacation.
He was born January 26, 1918
in Jay County, the son of Charles and Lula Grace (Leonard) Phillips.
He was married to the former Geraldine Bennett, who survives.
Phillips had been employed by
Owens-Illinois for 29 years and had worked at the Muncie facility until six
years ago when he became supervisor of the accounting department at the
Perrysburg, Ohio, plant.
Surviving in addition to his
wife are his mother, Mrs. Grace Phillips, Portland; two daughters, Mrs. Diana
Huffer, Gaston, and Mrs. Mary Ann Rees, Oakville; a son, Hames Phillips, Muncie;
two sisters, Mrs. Irene Holmes, Portland, and Mrs. Pauline Habeggar, Berne; two
brothers, Hubert, Muncie, and Elvin, Portland; and seven grandchildren.
