Francis Marion Nelson
He was born Thurs. 23 Dec 1920 and died Mon. 6 Sep 1999.
Francis M. Nelson*, 78 died Monday at Wells Community Hospital, Bluffton.
Born in Decatur, he was a World War II Navy veteran and worked at General
Electric Co. for 37 years until his
retirement in 1978. Surviving are
his wife, M. Gertrude; a son Ronald
Gene of Roanoke; a daughter, Gloria Minnick of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Gerald
of Monroe and Charles of Redkey; eight sisters, Anna Sharpe and Edna Mae
Lawrence, both of Redkey, Vivian Rickner and Betty Missicano, both of Portland,
Roberta Rhodes of Jeffersonville, Florence Mosser of Geneva, Della Brown of
Athens, GA., and Fredia Spade of Bryant; and eight grandchildren.
A daughter, Joy Roberts, preceded him in death.
Services at 10 a.m. Saturday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home,
Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with calling from 2 to 4, and 6 to
8 p.m. Friday and an hour before services.
