Clipping hand dated 1949 

Portland, Ind., July 14 - Fred Wiest, 55, of Contennial, O., and a former Portland resident, died last night of a heart attack at his home.   

He is survived by one son, Gerald of Terre Haute; one daughter, Mrs. James R. McFarland of Winchester; two grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Gus Morgan of Jay City, and three brothers, Ralph of Fort Wayne, Cleve of Decatur, and Ross of Detroit.   

The body was brought to the Baird mortuary, where funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning.  The Rev. Lee Tyndall will officiate.  Burial will be in the Daugherty Cemetery
