Commercial Review, Monday, January 18, 1954

    J. IRVIN WHITENACK, 72, Portland, died at 1 a.m. Sunday at the Jay county Hospital after being ill for several months.  Private funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of the Williamson Funeral Home.  Rev. J. H. Nall will officiate and burial will be in Green Park cemetery.  The body will remain at the funeral home where friends may call until the hour of the services. 

   Mr. Whitenack was born in Pike township on June 19, 1881, a son of William F. and Ione Bear Whitenack.  On June 1, 1901 he married Vernia G. Loy, she preceded him in death on February 23, 1945.  The deceased was a retired employee of the Armstrong Cork Co. at Dunkirk.  He was a member of the Glass Blowers Association. 

   Surviving is a son O. Glen Whitenack, of Anderson, 2 grandaughters, and 6 great-grandchildren.  A brother and sister are deceased
