Jack B. Loy, 77, retired farmer and blacksmith of Bryant, died early Sunday morning at the family home following an illness of several months

The body was removed to the Baird Funeral Home at Portland, where friends may call.   Funeral services will be held from the Baird Chapel Tuesday at 2 p. m. in charge of the Rev. Paul Logan.  Interment will be made in the Gravel Hill Cemetery

A lifelong resident of Jay county, Mr. Loy was born in Madison township December 6, 1871, the son of Stephen and Nancy (Nelson) Loy.   He was married February 20, 1904, to Eva Myers, who survives; also two sons, Herbert R. Loy of Chicago, and Hildra Loy of Albion, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Dixon, of Hartford City; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Nelson and Walter Loy, of Bearcreek township.  One brother and two sisters are deceased.  Mr. Loy was a member of the Moose Lodge of Portland
