Mrs. Jane BRUNSON Succumbs Heart Attack

Liddie Jane Ripley Bronson, 71 years of age, died at the home of her son, Fred Brunson, here Tuesday night as the result of a heart attack.

Mrs. Brunson was born in Indiana and lived there until about 20 years ago when she came to Noble county to live with her son. Her husband died in Indiana, June 9, 1903.

She is survived by two daughters Dora Brunson of Perry and Mrs. Ethel Stacey of Kansas City, Mo.,and two sons, Walter and Fred Brunson of Perry. A brother, Walter Rigby of Indiana and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Sibney and Mrs. Zula Penner of Indiana also survive. Two daughter, four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services which will be in charge of the Davis Funeral home had not been announced Wednesday pending work from relatives.


NOTE: Errors in this obit are following:

1. Mrs. Jane BRUNSON was usually called Lydia or Liddie.

2. BRUNSON in the headline is the way her husband spelled their name.

3. In the first paragraph her last name is spelled BRONSON which is how her husband's Grandfather Timothy spelled his name.

4. Third paragraph says she is survived by two daughters and lists Dora; Ethel. Dora was really a nickname for her oldest son named Theodore Brunson.

5.   Her maiden name was Rigby, not Ripley as indicated in the first sentence.


Lydia Brunson died in Perry, Oklahoma which is Noble County. Her son Walter Blaine Brunson lived in Perry, OK from 1923 until his death in 1960. Her youngest son Fred lived there for many years also.

The two daughters who preceded her in death were Leota Ray and Leona M. (Mrs. Joe) Wilson.
