Commercial Review, Wednesday, November 22, 1950

  JOHN A. RARICK, 74, farmer residing east of the city on the Votaw street road, died at the Jay county hospital Wednesday morning at 9:35 o'clock where he was admitted an hour earlier.   He suffered a heart attack at his home at midnight and when his condition failed to improve, was taken to the hospital.

  The body was removed to the Williamson funeral home where friends may call.  Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church in charge of Rev. Albert Habgood, assisted by Rev. Marshall Weaver.   Burial will be in the Reitenour cemetery.

  The deceased was born in Jay county Dec. 4, 1875, son of the late Phillip and Isabelle Kinnear Rarick.   He was united in marriage to Josie I. Hanlin who died June 17, 1936 and was married to Olive M. Kelley Sept. 19, 1939, who survives with the following children, Leo L. Quist of Minneapolis, Minn.;  Mrs. Alberta Potter of Oak Park, Ill.;  Mrs. Hazel Henley of Portland;  Mrs. Mabel Schisler of west of Portland and John O. Rarick of north of Portland;  one step-daughter, Mrs. Faye Garringer of Portland and two sisters, Mrs. Rose Tharp of Portland and Mrs. Clara Wall of Little Rock, Ark.   Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
