Martha A. Wilhelm, aged 82, died at the home of her son, George E. Wilhelm, 227 East High street, Sunday afternoon after illness of eight months, but for the past three or four weeks had been seriously ill

   The deceased leaves one half-sister, Mrs. Margie Brading, of Toledo, O.; seven children, George F. (sic) Wilhelm of Portland; Lawrence and Arthur of Rapid City, Mich.; Frank of Merrill, Mich.; Charles W. of Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Stella Brumm of Noble township and Mrs. Lina Alspaugh of South Bend, Ind.; 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.  There are three brothers, two sisters, one son, one grandchild and one great grandchild dead.

   She was a member of the United Brethren church, at New Paris, Ohio, but since living in Jay county she was a member of the Evangelical church, and also a charter member of the D.A.R. lodge of Rapid City, Mich.

    The body was removed to the Williamson funeral home and will be taken to the home of George E. Wilhelm on East High street today.   Funeral services will be held at the Portland Methodist church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Elmer Yoh will officiate, assisted by Rev. H.R. Carson.  Burial in Green Park cemetery.
