MRS. MARY ANN JONES,
widow of the late Ebenezer Jones, died at the home of her son E.S. Jones, former
county infirmary superintendent, three miles northwest of Portland, at 5 o’clock
Tuesday morning.
Mrs. Jones was born in Meads
(sic-should be Meigs) county, Ohio May 9, 1826 and had nearly reached her 90th
birthday. Her husband died 23
years ago, and three children survive her, E. S. Jones, at whose home she died;
John Jones, of Iowa, and Mrs. Hannah Peters, of Muncie.
