Word was received Thursday evening
of the death of MRS. MARY BROWN, wife of Davis Brown of Bucyrus, Ohio.
Mrs. Brown’s death occurred at the hospital at Columbus, Ohio at two
o’clock Thursday morning after a lingering illness.
Last October, Mrs. Brown
fell, and lock jaw developed from injuries received.
However, she grew better from that disease and her immediate death was
due to nervous prostration.
She was born in this county April
30, 1865 and was the daughter of Ira and Ann Miller Denney of this city.
Her mother has been at her bedside during eleven weeks of this winter.
Her husband, mother and four children, Elmer, Raymond, Ruth and Dorothea, and
two brothers, Hoyt and Tom Denney of Whittier, Calif. survive.
Her father died about eleven years ago.
The remains will be brought to Portland and taken to her mother’s home on
west Main street. The funeral party will
arrive in the city either Friday night or Saturday.
No funeral arrangements will be made until their arrival.
