- Rev. Charles A. Fisher, 82, formerly of
Portland, died Thursday at
Greenwood.
Founder of the Portland Gospel
Tabernacle, he had resided in Fort Pierce, Fla., before moving to Greenwood to
live with a daughter, Mrs. Jerry Rowan, Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Clara; a son, Rev. Lee Fisher of Indiana Harbor Beach, Fla.,
and the daughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m.
Saturday at First Southern Baptist Church in New Whiteland, Ind. After services there, the body will be
taken to Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland where friends may call from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Burial will follow in Green
