  The funeral services of the late STEPHEN LOY who died Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the home of his son, Nelson Loy, of six miles northeast of Portland, after an illness of tumor of the stomach, and infirmities of old age, will be held Friday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock at the Belmore Baptist church in charge of Rev. Fred Stovenour.   If he had lived a few more weeks he would have been 80 years of age.   He was the son of Michael and Charlotte Stoner Loy and was born in Preble County, Ohio.
  The deceased leaves three sons, Nelson, Walter and Jack Loy, all living northeast of Portland, and one daughter, Emma, the wife of William Fry, of Sturgis, Michigan.

He also leaves two brothers, Samuel Loy, of Starke Co, Indiana, and Joshua Loy of Madison Township.   The interment will be at Gravel Hill Cemetery west of Bryant. The daughter, Mrs. Fry, will arrive Thursday for the funeral.
