Funeral
For Brunson To Be
Saturday
Funeral services for Walter B. Brunson,
1101 Ivanhoe, former Perry Chief of Police, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the
First Baptist Church with Rev. H. E. Alsup, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Grace Hill cemetery under direction of the Newton
funeral home.
Brunson died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in
University hospital in Oklahoma City where he had been a patient since Sept. 9.
He was born July 20, 1884 in
Jay county, Ind., and was married to Dorothy Baker in 1907. They moved here from
Michigan in 1922.
He served as police chief from May, 1931 to May, 1934.
He was an oil filed carpenter before his retirement.
He was a member of the
Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Hunt, Shattuck, Mrs.
Pearl Haskins, Billings, and Mrs. Marjorie Tate, Russell, Kan.; one brother,
Fred Brunson, Tulsa; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Stacey, Tulsa, and six
grandchildren.
