Cecil E. Bowman

  Cecil E. Bowman, 77, died
Thursday, Dec. 18, 2001, at Com-
munity Hospital South in Indiana-
polis. He was a resident of Green-
wood.
  He was born March 20, 1924, in
Tompkinsville, Ky. He married
Reba Wood on Aug. 12, 1946. She
survives. Other survivors include
two sons,  Gary Bowman of
Greenwood and Don Bowman of
Forest, Va.; four sisters, Bert
Thomas of Jacksonville, Fla.,
Laura Clayton of Webb City, Mo.,
Flora Bowman. of Uba, Calif., and
Ruth Clayton of Springfield, Mo.;
and three grandchlldren.
  He was employed for 16 years
by Ford Motor Co. as a machin-
ist. He retired in 1986.
  He was a member of Suburban
Baptist Church in Indianapolis
  He was a veteran of the U.S.
Army, having served in World
War II.
  A service will be conducted at 1
p.m. Monday at Wilson St. Pierre
Funeral Servlce and Crematory,
Graeewood Chapel. Friends may
call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at
the funeral home. Burial will be
at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens
in White River Township.
