CHARLES BOWMAN DIES
Charles Bowman, a farmer of the
Belleville community, died suddenly
Monday from a heart attack. His son,
Carol, came to the home at noon and
found his father dead. Funeral ser-
vices will be held today at the
Jackson funeral home in Clayton, and
tomorrow at Edinburg. Burial will be
at Edinburg.

Funeral Friday For C. T. Bowman
Edinburgh Burial For Town's Native
Edinburgh, Sept. 4 Last rites will be held
at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the
Edinburgh Methodist Church for Charles T.
Bowman, 80, former resident of this town,
who died suddenly Tuesday at his home in
Clayton.
Short services were held this morning in
Clayton, after which the body was brought
to the home of Mr. Bowman's brother, J.
Frank Bowman of Edinburgh. Burial will
be made in Rest Haven Cemetery here.
Mr. Bowman was born in Bartholo-
mew County near Edinburgh, the son of
John and Mary Bowman. He was a farmer
in early manhood but later became a sales-
man for a farm implement firm. He married
Miss Hattie F. Miller of Edinburgh, who
died in 1916.
Seven children, all of whom survive,
were born of the union. Mr. Bowman was a
member of the Edinburgh Christian Church
and formerly was a Mason. He left Edinburgh
about 11 years ago.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mabel
Spacke of California, Mrs. Edith Roberts and
Mrs. Nina Huppert, both of Indianapolis; four
sons, Dallas Bowman of California; Frank and
Dale Bowman of Indianapolis, and Carroll
Bowman of Clayton; the brother, Frank, and
six grandchildren.
