William D. 'Bill' Bowman
    William D. "Bill" Bowman, 83,
died Monday, Feb. 5, 2007. He
was a resident of Greenwood.
    Survivors include his wife,
Maudie (Karnes) Bowman; two
stepdaughters, Nellie (James)
Werk of Bloomington and Ida
Gosben of Indianapolis; two sis-
ters, Lorraine Heston and Ruth
Hodges, both of Tompkinsville,
Ky.; a brother, Eugene Bowman
of Tompkinsville, Ky.; six step-
grandchildren; and several great-
stepgrandchildren and great-
great-stepgrandchildren.
    A service will be conducted at
2 p.m. Friday at Singleton
Community Mortuary and
Memorial Center, 7602 Madison
Ave. in Indianapolis. Friends
may call from 5 to 7 p.m.
Thursday at the mortuary. Burial
will be at Forest Lawn Memory
Gardens in Greenwood.
