Trafalgar area resident Daisy Belle Bridges died Wednesday, February 28, 1996, at St. Francis Hospital and Health Centers in Beech Grove. She was 74.
Mrs. Bridges was born January 13, 1922, in Grayson County, Kentucky, to Barry Buckner and Mary Ann Pierce Thompson.
She and Victor R. Bridges were married February 11, 1939, in Franklin. He survives.
Mrs. Bridges attended Franklin schools.
She was a homemaker. Mrs. Bridges had also worked in the production department at the Bendix Corporation in Franklin and had been a nurse’s aid at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
Mrs. Bridges was a member of the Trafalgar Assembly of God Church.
Other survivors include three daughters, Joyce B. Davis-Stafford and Kathy S. Rooks, both of Whiteland, and Victoria R. McCarty of Trafalgar; two brothers, Alfred J. Thompson and Albert “Bud” Thompson, both of St. Paul; four sisters, Ada Stephens and Ida Kean, both of Trafalgar, Bessie C. Seals of Visalia, California, and Iva L. Fulmer of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel A. Thompson; and three sisters, Ruby Ford, Nellie Higdon and Rhoda Blackwell.
The Reverend Victor L. Johnson conducted a service Saturday, March 2, at the Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home in Franklin.
Burial was in that city’s Greenlawn Cemetery.
