LOUIS BURTON
Services for Louis V. Burton, 86, of Edinburgh
route 3, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Welcome
Nursing Home in Franklin.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev.
John Lucas at Edinburgh Holiness Church Wed-
nesday at 2:00 p.m. and burial was at Rest Haven
Cemetery. Calling hours had been held at Eskew
Funeral Home.
A former Amos-Thompson Corporation employee,
Mr. Burton was born April 7, 1891, in Kentucky to
William M. and Rebecca R. Burton. He married Cleo
Woodrum April 2, 1942, and she survives.
Surviving with the widow are four daughters,
Mrs. Lorcey Wilson, Indianapolis, Mrs. Lela Land
and Mrs. Kathleen Burton, both of Edinburgh, and
Mrs. Betty Eckert of Columbus; two sons, Gordon
and Roland Burton, both of Edinburgh; one step-
son, Denver Cooper of Edinburgh; four sisters, Mrs.
Fannie Davis, Mrs. Emma Whitlock, and Mrs. Gertrude
Burton, all of Edinburgh and Mrs. Ada Anderson of
Cambellsville, Ky.; one brother, Elza Burton of
Edinburgh, 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Vinas Burton,
and one brother, Sam Ed Burton.
