MARGIE M. BURTON
Margie M. Burton, 70, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at her daughter’s residence in Edinburgh. She was a resident of Edinburgh.
She was born Oct. 30, 1932, in Casey County, Ky. Her parents were Millard and Betty (Allen) Johnson. She married Leonard Burton on Nov. 1, 1948. He preceded her in death June 22, 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Kiser of Edinburgh; six brothers, Omer Johnson, Wilbert Johnson and Lucian Johnson, all of Edinburgh, Vitis Johnson and Shirley Johnson, both of Liberty, Ky., and Willis Johnson of Brown County; two sisters, Imogene McGaha and Mary Burton, both of Edinburgh; and a grandson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ovel and Virl Johnson; and two sisters, Pauline Adams and Ruby Curry.
She was employed by David R. Webb Co. in Edinburgh as a dryer operator for 29 years.
She was a member of Who So Ever Will Community Church in Edinburgh.
The Rev. Lewis Burton will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Who So Ever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive, Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Arrangements are being handled by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
