Lloyd "Chinky" Giles
      Lloyd "Chinky" Giles, 70, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001, at Roudebush VA
Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Edinburgh. 
      He was born Nov. 6, 1930, in Adair County, Ky. His parents were Deroy and
Betty Lou (Streeval) Giles. Survivors include three brothers, Nick Giles,
Paul Giles and T.A. Giles, all of Edinburgh; and two sisters, Irene Davis
and Mae Murray of Edinburgh. He was preceded in death by a brother, R.J.
Giles; and a sister, Mary Watson. 
      He worked at the cemetery for the Town of Edinburgh. 
      He enjoyed fast-pitch softball and pitching. 
      He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. 
      The Rev. Lonny Goen will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Saturday at
Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m.
today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in
Edinburgh. .

town of Edinburgh.  He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.  Services:
11 a.m. Oct. 6 in Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, Edinburgh, with calling from 4
to 8 p.m. Oct. 5.  Burial: Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh.  Survivors:

      EDINBURGH  - Lloyd "Chinky" Giles, 70, of Edinburgh died Thursday, Oct. 4,
2001, at the VA Hospital in Indianapolis.
      Mr. Giles was a laborer for the town of Edinburgh, working at Rest Haven
Cemetery.  He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and enjoyed fast-pitch
softball and was a pitcher.
      The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home
with the Rev. Lonny Goen officiating.  Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m.
today.  Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
      Mr. Giles was born in Adair County, Ky, Nov. 6, 1930, the son of Deroy and
Betty Lou Streeval Giles.
      He is survived by brothers, Nick, Paul and T.A. Giles, and sisters, Irene
Davis and Mae Murray, all of Edinburgh.
      He was preceded in death by a brother, R. J. Giles, and a sister, Mary
Watson.
