      EDINBURGH --  Katheryn May Hamblen, 87, Nineveh route 1, died Monday
morning at Johnson County Hospital, Franklin.
      Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at
Vandivier-Parsley Edinburgh Chapel by the Rev. Sam Herrington.  Persons
may call at the funeral home after today.  Burial will be at Rest Haven
Cemetery in Edinburgh.
      Born Oct. 31, 1890, in Brown County to William Sally Miller Frye, Mrs.
Hamblen had been a Johnson County resident 34 years.  She was married to
James M. Hamblen in Nashville, Nov. 29, 1909, and he survives.  She was a
member of Bethel Christian Church.
      Other survivors are three daughters, Mabel Asher of Needham and Edith Roth
and Ruth Shaw, both of Shelbyville, and three grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.

      Kathryn May Hamblen, 87, of R.R. 1 Nineveh died Monday morning in Johnson
County Hospital.  Funeral services were this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the
Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home, south, Edinburgh Chapel, with Re. Sam
Harrington officiating.
      Mrs. Hamblen was born Oct. 31, 1890 in Brown County, Indiana.  Her parents
were William and Sally (Miller) Frye and she attended Brown County
schools.
      On Nov. 29, 1909 she married James M. Hamblen at Nashville, Indiana.  She
had been a resident of Johnson Co. for 34 years and was a member of New
Bethel Christian Church.
      Survivors include her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Asher of
Needham, Mrs. Edith Roth of Shelbyville and Mrs. Ruth Shaw of Shelbyville;
also 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

      Funeral service for Katheryn Hamblen, 87, who died Monday at the Johnson
County Hospital at Franklin, was conducted Wednesday at the
Vandivier-Parsley South Funeral Home at Edinburgh by the Rev. Sam
Herrington.  Burial was at Rest Haven Cemetery.
      Pallbearers were Francis Asher, Lee Cooper, James Facemeyer, Sayrl
Freeman, Robert Freeman and John Frye.
