Ralph L. Wilhite

Ralph L. Wilhite, 85, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at Johnson Memorial Hospital.
He was a resident of Indianapolis.

He was born Feb. 26, 1916, in Plainfield. His parents were Roy E. and Flora
(Hollingsworth) Wilhite. He married Lena Grace (McFall) Wilhite on June 20,
1937, in Indianapolis. She survives. Other survivors include a brother, Harold
E. Wilhite; a sister, Thelma M. Boden; and several nieces and nephews.

He was employed as a machinist at General Motors Plant 5 for 31 years, retiring
in 1972.

He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Greenwood and its Lamplighters
Group. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge 669 and Scottish Rite.

A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church in
Greenwood. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at G.H. Herrmann Madison
Avenue Funeral Home in Indianapolis and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday
at the church. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.
