William R. McClain
William R. McClain, 80, died 
Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001, at his 
residence in Beech Grove.

He married Juanita P. (Kaney) 
McClain. She preceded him in 
death. Survivors include a 
sister, Pansy McMillin; two 
brothers, Gene McClain and
Glen McClain; and 10 nieces 
and nephews.

He was employed as a bus 
supervisor for 12 years, 
retiring in 1989. After 
retirement he worked as a 
crossing guard for Beech 
Grove High School.

He was a member of First 
Baptist Church, Army In-
fantry Unit Organization 
and Beech Grove Senior 

He was a U.S. Army veteran 
of World War II, serving 
in the Army for 11 years.

A service will be conduc-
ted at 1 p.m. today at Little 
and Sons Beech Grove Chapel. 
Burial will be at Forest 
Lawn Memory Gardens in White 
River Township.

Memorial contributions may be 
made to St. Francis Hospital 
& Health Centers or Beech 
Grove School District.
