Gladys McKee
Gladys McKee, 84, died Saturday night
at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills,
Calif. She was a resident of Sylmar, Calif.
She was born in Bartholomew County
Feb. 15, 1905, to John Wesley Coy and
Hannah Melissa (Milnes) Coy. She mar-
ried Ellis McKee May 29, 1929. He died
in 1985. Survivors include two daughters,
Hannah Dyke of Sylmar and Joyce Smith
of Franklin; two grandchildren and a
great-grandchild. She was preceded in
death by six brothers and eight sisters.
She was a member of First Christian
Church in Oceanside, Calif., a former
member of Edinburgh United Methodist
Church and a past president of American
Legion Auxiliary Post 233 in Edinburgh.
The Rev. Nancy Chizmar will conduct
a private graveside service Friday at Rest
Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Friends
may call Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at
Long Funeral Home in Edinburgh. A
memorial service will take place Thurs-
day at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
