Gracie Ida Singleton, 75, 
died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, 
at Good Samaritan Hospital 
in Vincennes. She was a 
resident of Washington, Ind., 
and a former resident of 

She was born Sept. 16, 
1926, in Rutledge, Tenn. 
Her parents were William 
O. and Maude (Kitts) 
Roberts. Survivors include 
three daughters, Deborah 
Hudson of Washington, 
Ind., Donna Jenkins Moore 
of Beech Grove and Denise 
Singleton of Palm Beach 
Gardens, Fla.; a sister, 
Virgie Brown of Morris-
town, Tenn.; two brothers, 
Jim Roberts of South 
Carolina and Oscar Roberts 
of Russelville, Tenn.; 
and five grandchildren.

She was a press operator 
for Indus Wheel Drive of 
Carlisle for several years 
before retiring.

A service will be conducted 
at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at 
G.H. Herrmann Greenwood 
Funeral Home. Friends may 
call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tues-
day at the funeral home. 
Burial will be at Forest Lawn 
Memory Gardens in White 
River Township.
