Irvin E. Ungeright

Irvin E. Ungeright, 82, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a resident of In­dianapolis.

He was born Oct. 4, 1919, in Indian­apolis. His parents were Herman C. and Helen (Wells) Ungeright. He married Emma Lee on Jan 16, 1967. She survives. Other survivors include a step­son, Larry Yazell of Seymour; a daugh­ter, Barbara J. Terrell of Columbus, Ohio; a step­daughter, Deborah K. Brooks of Flat Rock; two sisters, Mar­tha Street of Arizona and Betty Heitzman of Richmond; six grandchil­dren; and 10 great-grand­children. He was preceded in death by a sister.

He was employed by the Indian­apolis Department of Transpor­tation. He re­tired in 1992.

He was a member of Southport United Methodist Church, Moose of Columbus, American Legion and Ve­terans of Foreign Wars.

He was U.S. Army Air Forces veteran.

The Rev. Mark Fisher conducted a service Monday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 135 Chapel. Burial was at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Town­ship.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Methodist or Southport United Methodist Church.
