Noble County is rich with fascinating stories of towns that were, towns that almost "were", even a town that never was! Not all of the towns are actually ghost towns. Some began as thriving communities, seemingly destined to become large cities. Instead, for various reasons, their population dwindled over the years. Even though some towns exist today, they're small communities - certainly not what our ancestors had envisioned years ago!
Most of the information for these towns was excerpted from the book, Noble County Historical Markers, which was compiled and designed by Martha Wilkins Tomlinson Bushong.
