Every Name Index to Brunswick/Borger Cemetery (containing 26 records)
The Brunswick/Borger Cemetery is located in Hanover Township in Lake County, Indiana. It was first read by Orville Borger, whose great-grandfather John Borger owned the land on which the cemetery located. Orville was kind enough to give us his reading in 1969. Harold Huntington updated the cemetery reading in 1992 for the Northwest Indiana Genealogical Society.
Orville stated that the cemetery was meant to be a family cemetery, but privilege were extended to relatives and neighbors. The cemetery then became known as the Brunswick Cemetery. The first burial is recorded as 1846. This stone was sunken so that the data could not be extracted by Mr. Huntington.
This is only an every name index. If you would like further information about any of your ancestors that are buried in this cemetery, please refer to our Lookup Research Request Policy. The full cemetery index, containing additional information, can also purchased (see our Publications webpage) or accessed at several Northwest Indiana libraries, as well as at several other genealogical Libraries.
