Lake County Naturalizations Index

In the spring of 1989, permission was received from the Lake County, Indiana, Circuit Court Clerk to remove the naturalization records for Crown Point. The Lake County Reference Library provided a copy machine and acid-free paper for the purpose of copying the books. The work of copying, indexing and alphabetizing was provided by members of the Northwest Indiana Genealogical Society.

These books were supposedly moved to Indianapolis and have not been returned to Lake County.

You can obtain naturalization records originating from Lake County from the Porter County Public Library in Valparaiso by completing the Naturalization Request Form. This index is also available in a hardcopy published format and can be ordered via our Publications Order Form.
