REMARK: The Conrad Hotel was located some distance behind the railroad depot. Ella (Stowell) Born managed the hotel for Jennie Conrad, while her husband Roscoe "Shorty" Born was the station agent at the railroad. Rufus Robinson was the station agent prior to Roscoe. The Conrad Hotel was a gathering place for many of the locals.
