4-H INSSAR Outstanding Citizenship Award

The Indiana Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (INSSAR) announced
the Vanderburgh County, Indiana INSSAR Outstanding Citizenship Award for 4-H Youth.

Compatriot John G. West of the Ohio Valley Chapter based in Evansville awarded
Andrea Bittner with the specially designed SAR Lapel Pin for Outstanding Citizenship.
The award was presented Nov. 2, 2007 at the 66th Vanderburgh County 4-H Achievement
Banquet at the Vanderburgh Co. 4-H Center in northern Vanderburgh County
before an estimated crowd of 400.

INSSAR State 4-H Awards Chairman, John G. West, was accompanied by his wife Becky West.
Chairman West made the presentation wearing a Revolutionary War militia uniform.

The criteria for award selection is based on Citizenship, Leadership, and Community Service.
Chairman West said that Andrea Bittner was active in many community service projects
and the county 4-H Junior Leader Organization.
