The parade was postponed from July 4th. to Sat. July 8th, due to severe weather.
On the Fourth nine of us showed up, but due to the change only three made it to
the parade on Sat. But in true INSSAR Color Guard spirit, we marched
proudly and in step! Ken Gilkey carried the U.S. 13-Star Betsy Ross Flag
guarded by John G. West with his musket, while Peggy Gilkey carried our
banner to proudly announce that the Sons of the American Revolution was the
Official Color Guard for the third year in the Newburgh Parade.
Peggy Gilkey, INSSAR Ladies Auxillary carries the INSSAR Banner.
