291

In making this my 3rd report under the present system it is necessary in order that the commissioners properly understand the condition of things that I explain a little. The first quarter we had to buy all we eat.  The second we had to buy too but sold more than we bought which was left to be taken in groceries as we needed them. Besides we have made two thirds of the living for the last two quarters off the farm and have I think half our living stored away for the next quarter, besides hogs to kill and a good stock of every thing on hand and I feel confident our next quarter will not exceed the past one in cost. Dont? of the expense this quarter is corn buying to feed hogs for future use.
Worth Templeton.

At the present we are very much in need of a man to hire and do general help work as there are very few able bodied enough to wait upon themselves; and for a short while a good hand would be a great help.
